The dynamic motor analyzer allows the testing of a running motor in its operational environment. Electric parameters are measured and other mechanical parameters are calculated. The aim is to receive an analysis of the electric motor, its mains supply, and its load conditions based on six electric measuring values. The Dynamic MotorAnalyzer is the ideal tool for this. It is a great extension to our winding testers, the MotorAnalyzer 2 and MTC2.

THREE-PHASE POWER ANALYZER
The PowerPad® III Model 8435 w/4 A196-24-BK AmpFlex is a three-phase power quality analyzer that is easy-to-use, compact and shock resistant. It enables technicians and engineers to measure and carry out diagnostics and power quality work on one-, two- or three- phase networks. Four voltage input terminals and four current input terminals are provided. It is IP67 waterproof rated when recording with cover closed.
The Model 8435 has 2GB of memory available for storing trend data. Additional internal memory is conveniently partitioned to let you store alarms, transients, inrush and snapshot data synchronized or independent of each other. The user can store up to 50 screen snapshots, up to 210 captured transients that contain four cycles for each active input, and 10,000 alarm events from up to 40 different parameters. Trend data can also be recorded for days, weeks or even months. Inrush current can also be captured and stored.
The all-purpose MotorAnalyzer 2 is used for checking electric motors and windings. It combines 13 different test methods within a user-friendly and mobile tester. The combination of test methods,its compact design, as well as the battery operation, turn the MotorAnalyzer 2 into an ideal tool for on-site operation, especially in difficult applications.
For checking a 3-phase motor the three winding connections and the motor’s cabinet are connected to the tester. This testing is donewith four wire technology, providing high precision resistancemeasurements. After the Kelvin resistance test, the MotorAnalyzer 2 performs fully automatic testing via surge test, resistance and inductance. The MotorAnalyzer 2 automatically switches between different tests via its internal relay matrix. Finally, a high voltage test is done to evaluate the motors quality.
In addition, the MotorAnalyzer 2 provides information on brush holders and turn-to-turn faults within DC motors.
